NBGI Private Equity achieves strong returns from PNG Gerolymatos exit

PNG Gerolymatos (“PNG”) is one of the largest companies in Greece in the sale and manufacturing of health and beauty products.

To support PNG's strong growth in its domestic and international markets, NBGI Private Equity acquired in 2007 a minority stake in the company through newly issued shares.

As part of its due diligence work and during its tenure as investor in the company, NBGI Private Equity advised the company on a corporate restructuring in order to maximize operating efficiencies and increase valuation multiples at a future liquidity event (e.g. IPO or trade sale). NBGI Private Equity exited from this investment in November 2008 through a trade sale, realizing significant returns.“
